Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC) is a well-established Cornish charity providing a range of services across the county supporting people and communities in need.

The postholder will support transition age carers (young people moving into adulthood) by inspiring and empowering them to pursue their aspirations. They will help them navigate adult service systems, connect to appropriate support and resources, and ensure their needs and welfare are prioritised and safeguarded.

The postholder will build strong relationships with young adult carers through excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will be empathetic, proactive, and committed to delivering person-centred support. Experience working with children and young people is essential (this does not have to be in a formal setting), alongside an awareness of the challenges vulnerable young people face. The postholder will work closely with families, professionals, and community organisations to identify need, reduce risk, and create opportunities that promote the carer’s wellbeing and independence.

The role requires accurate case note recording and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will be confident in working independently while being an enthusiastic team player. A minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in a related field is required. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures is essential.
