Rural & Coastal Communities
Nobody living in a rural area should be disadvantaged by where they live. But too often they are.
The Rural and Coastal team work to empower local communities across Cornwall by engaging with communities and working to identify needs and find solutions to rural issues.
We can help with:
Providing support for social infrastructure: ensuring that village halls, community assets, pubs, shops and Post Offices continue to be hubs of rural communities.
Support around housing and planning.
Working with rural communities to assess need, identify gaps and recommend solutions in relation to rural transport.
Supporting the voluntary and community sector to demonstrate their impact through use of the Social Value Engine and data impact evaluations.
Influencing policy change to better support rural communities.
Supporting volunteers and community groups to reduce litter and its impact, protecting our landscape, promoting the importance of keeping our county litter-free and promoting zero waste solutions.
Net Zero and understanding the need for affordable energy, providing support and advice on reducing energy costs.
In addition to our free advice service, The Rural and Coastal Team also offer a bespoke funding and bid writing package, if your organisation needs help understanding and writing a funding bid get in touch.
CRCC has been helping rural communities since 1947 to thrive and to continue to be sustainable places where people want to live and work together because they have the support, services and opportunities required to lead full and contented lives.
