Since 1946, CRCC has worked alongside communities across Cornwall, helping people and places thrive through a wide range of services and projects. Today, we support thousands of people each year through initiatives ranging from carers' support and community transport to rural housing, education and training, environmental projects and support for Cornwall's fishing communities. 

Last year alone, we supported more than 14,500 unpaid carers, helped more than 5,600 residents access support, delivered more than £4 million in funding into communities and secured almost £1 million for Cornwall's fishing communities.  

The Rural and Coastal team have organised this 80 mile challenge to celebrate this legacy while supporting the charity's future. The team of four will be joined by CRCC trustees, supporters and community members along different sections of the route. 

The walk begins at 10am on Monday 14 September from CRCC's offices in Looe. The team will then make their way along Cornwall's south coast, stopping in Fowey, Mevagissey, Carne Beach and Helford Passage before reaching Cadgwith on the final day.  

Throughout the journey, the team will meet individuals, groups and communities that have benefited from CRCC's support, bringing to life the impact the charity has made over the past 80 years.
