80 years of community. Help us make it 80 more.

In 1946 — in the years just after the Second World War — Cornwall finally got its own Rural Community Charity. Led by the Reverend John Pearce, it started modestly: supporting parish councils, keeping village halls open, and offering welfare guidance to those who needed it most. Eighty years later, CRCC is still here. Still committed. Still rooted in the communities we serve.

Today, we work across three areas that matter deeply to people's lives across Cornwall. Our Rural & Coastal work supports the infrastructure and voluntary sector that holds rural and fishing communities together — including the network of over 400 village halls and community centres we helped create. Our Education & Training programmes open doors for young people aged 16 to 24 who hold an Education, Health & Care Plan, helping them find purpose, skills, and a future. And our Carers & Wellbeing service provides vital support to the thousands of unpaid carers across Cornwall who quietly hold families and households together — often at great personal cost. This anniversary isn't just a milestone. It's a moment to ask: what does the next chapter look like?

Support Us

With your support, we can enhance our Education programmes to inspire more young people; uplift our Carers and Wellbeing services to create better outcomes for citizens of Cornwall; and people in Rural and Coastal communities have the same opportunities and services as those in more urban communities. This support will also help us reach the communities who need us but haven't yet found us.

Every pound raised goes directly to this meaningful work in one of the most beautiful — and most underserved — corners of the country (no shareholder return).

Please give what you can. If you've ever been touched by CRCC's work — or know someone who has — please share this page.
