CRCC Celebrates Carers Week 2024: Over 30 Years of Putting Carers on the Map
12.06. 2024
CRCC is currently celebrating Carers Week (10th - 16th June 2024), with Cornwall Carers Service organising some valuable resources, events and activities throughout the week.
With over 30 years of experience working closely with carers, CRCC has developed a profound understanding of the challenges and rewards that come with caregiving responsibilities. Through our longstanding commitment to supporting carers, we have sucessfuly delivered services and produced resources designed to meet their unique needs and enhance their well-being. Our deep rooted involvement in the caregiving community enables us to provide invaluable assistance and guidance to carers as they navigate their important and often demanding roles.
Many of our staff are carers themselves and we pride ourselves on being a flexible employer that prioritises and understands their needs. We recognise the challenges that carers face in balancing work responsibilities with their caregiving duties. Our organisation is committed to supporting carers by offering flexible work arrangements, including remote work options, part-time positions, and flexible schedules. We believe that providing a supportive work environment for carers not only benefits them personally but also contributes to a more inclusive and compassionate workplace overall.
Carers week will culminate on Friday 14th June with a ‘Putting Carers on the Map’ event at Truro Cathedral 10-2pm. The event has now sold out, although there will be an opportunity for those who have not booked for the main event to drop in on the day if they just fancy a chat for some advice and guidance with the Cornwall Carers Service team.
On behalf of CRCC, we extend our gratitude to all unpaid carers for their selfless dedication and tireless efforts in providing essential care and support to their loved ones. Thank you for all that you do; your contribution is invaluable and makes a significant difference in our community.
