CRCC Visit Swindon Carers Centre

07.08.25

This week CRCC paid a visit to Swindon Carers Centre, which provided a valuable opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and lay strong foundations for the upcoming transition of services between the wonderful team in Swindon, our CEO and Carers and Prevention Manager.

CRCC was awarded the tender to deliver the vital Carers Service in Swindon, which will start on 1st January 2026. This significant achievement marks a pivotal moment, reflecting our unwavering, three-decade-long commitment to supporting carers and meeting the diverse needs of the carer communities nationwide.

We look forward to developing and growing this essential provision in close collaboration and genuine partnership with Swindon Carers Centre and Swindon Borough Council and, most importantly, with the carers of Swindon. Our collective efforts will focus on enhancing the quality of support available, building firmly upon the excellent foundation laid by our predecessors over the last 28 years.

Our CEO, Katherine Nissen, said, “It has been a real pleasure to meet the wonderful staff, trustees and volunteers at Swindon Carers Centre this week as well as other partners. We will soon be sharing some dates for us to meet and collaborate with Swindon carers as we work together to flesh out the bones of the new contract and we look forward to the launch of the new contract in January 2026.”

At CRCC, our dedication to acknowledging, celebrating, and supporting the invaluable contribution of unpaid carers is absolute. Together, we will strive to make a profound, positive, and lasting impact on lives, ensuring all carers feel valued, supported, and empowered.

We’re incredibly encouraged by the partnership so far and look forward to working closely with Swindon Carers Centre to ensure a smooth, seamless handover with carers remaining firmly at the heart of everything we do.
