Do you see me?: Learning Disability Week and CRCC’s partnership with Diversity to Thrive.

12.06. 2024

This week is learning disability week, an annual event that aims to raise awareness about learning disabilities and promote inclusivity and understanding within society.

At Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC), we are dedicated to understanding the unique needs of individuals with learning disabilities. Our team recognises the importance of creating inclusive and accessible programs that cater to the diverse requirements of this community.

The theme for this year's Learning Disability Week is "Do you see me?" and is about challenging the barriers people with a learning disability face.

Our Learn Your Way and Work Your Way provision provides Adult Education funded programmes for young people aged 16-24 with learning disabilities, who have an Education, Health & Care Plan. In an effort to help challenge the barriers learners face with gaining employment, Work Your Way has recently partnered with Diversity to Thrive. This is a new collaborative network of employers and education providers dedicated to expanding their talent pool and assisting young individuals with Special Education Needs and Disabilities in transitioning into the workplace.

The partnership offers young people an inclusive and thriving business community in which to find inspiration and opportunities.
