Staff Celebrate 80 Years
Last week, we brought together our staff from across Cornwall and Swindon to celebrate our 80th anniversary with an event designed around health and wellbeing.
Bringing together colleagues from across our organisation, our most recent All Staff Day took place last week at the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan, welcoming team members from both Cornwall and Swindon.
The day was dedicated to health and wellbeing, giving staff the opportunity to step away from their day-to-day roles and focus on personal wellbeing, connection and reflection. A range of workshops and activities were available throughout the day, including sound baths, yoga sessions, journaling workshops and guided tours of the gardens.
Following a buffet lunch, colleagues gathered for a special cake-cutting ceremony as part of our 80th anniversary celebrations. Our Patron, Lord Edward Bolitho, joined our Chief Executive Officer and some of our longest-serving members of staff to cut the commemorative cake using a ceremonial sword, marking a memorable moment in our charity’s milestone year.
The All Staff Day was an opportunity to celebrate the people who make our work possible. Bringing colleagues together to connect, reflect and recognise their contribution is an important part of our commitment to supporting staff wellbeing and fostering a strong sense of community across the organisation.
